This week's Bright Net 'athlete of the week' is Patrick Henry senior baseball player, Zach Botjer.
Zach led the Patrioits to the state championship in baseball. He pitched a 4-hitter in beating Ft. Loramie in the state semi-final game. Then in the championship, Zach ripped two hits, including the game winner over Berlin Hiland. This performance led Patrick Henry to their first state baseball title.

This week's Bright Net 'athlete of the week' is Archbold track performer, Garrett Waidelich.
Garrett led the BlueStreaks to state in two different events. He anchored Archbold's regional champion 4 by 100 relay. And he was also part of the Streak's 4 by 200 relay that is state-bound.

This week's Bright Net 'athlete of the week' is Patrick Henry senior baseball player, Kyle Reese.
Kyle led the Patriots to a pair of district wins to advance to the regional tournament. He was the winning pitcher in a victory over Edgerton, and collected two hits in the game. Kyle had three more hits in the district final win over Edon.

This week's Bright Net 'athlete of the week' is Wauseon senior track performer, Jessica Jones.
Jessica led the Wauseon Indians to the NWOAL title in girls track. She won her fourth straight title in the 400 meters; and she was part of three other winning relays. Jessica ran the anchor leg on all three of those first place relays.

This week's Bright Net 'athlete of the week' is Napoleon senior track performer, Ryan Fleck.
Ryan led the Wildcats to a third place finish at the Palmer Relays. He jumped 6'8 to lead the high jump relay; and long jumped 21' 2". But at the Oak Harbor Invitational he did even better. Ryan set a new meet record, winning the high jump at 6' 9; and he broke the school record in the long jump, going 22' 2".

This week's Bright Net 'athlete of the week' is Liberty Center senior track performer, Chad McClory.
Chad led the Tigers to a runnerup finish in the Archbold Relays. He was part of the first place 4 by 400 relay; and also anchored the weightmen's relay. Chad also had the top discus throw in the competition. Earlier in the week, Chad had scored two first place finishes in a meet with Delta and Toledo Christian.

This week's Bright Net 'athlete of the week' is Patrick Henry freshman softball player and track performer, Tori Meyer.
Tori took two first place finishes in the Patriots meet with Liberty Center. She also won the Pole Vault at the Diller Invitational; and helped the Lady Patriots to a second place team finish. Tori also stepped onto the softball diamond, and threw a one-hitter to help beat Liberty Benton.

Kendal led the Lady Cats with two first place finishes in a meet with Ottawa Glandorf. Then at the Bobcat Relays, Kendal captured first place in the 100 meters; and she was on two winning relays, the shuttle hurdle and long jump.

McKenzie helped the Lady Cats win the GBC team title last weekend, when she took first place at 2nd singles. En route to the victory, McKenzie knocked-off the #1 and #2 seeded players. Earlier in the week, she picked-up singles wins against Archbold, Defiance and Lima Bath to help Napoleon set the record for most dual victories in a season.

This week's Bright Net 'athlete of the week' is Wauseon senior golfer, Tyler Uphaus.
Tyler led the Indians to the NWOAL golf tournament title, shooting a 76. That tied him for medalist honors with two other golfers. And it earned him a third consecutive individual title in the conference. Earlier in the week, Tyler shot a school record score of 32, in helping Wauseon beat Delta.

This week's Bright Net 'athlete of the week' is Napoleon junior track performer, Marlea Rolander.
Marlea ran the 100 hurdles in the state track prelims, seeded with the 8th fastest time from the regional. She placed 2nd in her heat, earning a spot in the finals on Saturday. Then in the finals of the state 100 hurdles, Marlea placed 6th; making it two Lady Cat performers to score in that event at state.
